At Northeast Power, we are proud of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve as we abide by the Seventh Cooperative Principle, “Concern for Community.” From the very beginning, electric cooperatives were formed with the commitment to improve the quality of life for those they serve. Our commitment to community exemplifies just that. One way we give back to our communities is by providing “Sharing Success” grants to non-profit organizations throughout our service area. This grant is coupled by a match from CoBank, one of our cooperative lending institutions.
Most recently we awarded a grant for $10,000 to the City of Lancaster, Missouri, for much-needed upgrades to their city park and a grant for $10,000 to the CJ3 Foundation for upgrades to their new rehabilitation center in Albia, Iowa.
We were proud to partner with our member-distribution cooperatives, Tri-County Electric Cooperative and Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative, to help give back to the members at the end of the line.
