AVAILABLE SITES AND BUILDINGS
Sites and buildings served by Northeast Power's member-distribution cooperatives are listed on the Location One Information System (LOIS) databases (see below). This information is maintained and updated by the local economic development organizations in each jurisdiction.
REVOLVING LOAN FUND
Northeast Power, on behalf of its member electric cooperatives, has established a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Economic Development Grant program. The purpose of this fund is to help create jobs and build the rural economy in both northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa.
Businesses and non-profit entities, including cities and counties, are eligible to apply for a loan from the RLF. Eligible projects include any community or economic development project that benefits the local region. This includes business start-up and expansion efforts as well as capital expenditures for needed community facilities by non-profit organizations or governmental agencies.
For more information, please access the Revolving Loan Fund brochure below or contact Allie Bennett, Manager of Economic Development and Member Services.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Northeast Power Economic Development Scholarship Program provides matching scholarships, usually 50%, for attending economic development training or education. Anyone directly involved in the development of any part of Northeast Power's service area is eligible.
OUR PARTNERS
Northeast Power's economic development team partners with local, regional, statewide and national organizations to impact the issues that are important to our member-distribution cooperatives and their member-consumers. Regionally, we support Missouri Northeast and Iowa South, who work with stakeholders in their respective areas to promote economic issues, share programs and priorities and boost the image of the region as a whole.
Statewide, we partner with several entities, including Missouri Economic Development Council, Hawthorn Foundation and Iowa Area Development Group to boost our shared needs and priorities to the next level, work to bring new business to our service territory and support existing businesses with programs and services.
Nationally, we partner with the National Rural Economic Development Association and the International Economic Development Council to bring awareness to the economic needs of Missouri and Iowa, as well as network with peers from across the nation for knowledge sharing and professional development.
